Colin Young, PhD
Co-Founder
Dr. Colin N. Young is currently an Assistant Professor at The George Washington University, School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Here he leads a research team focused on the brain as the cause of cardiovascular and metabolic (i.e. obesity) disorders. Prior to joining George Washington University, Dr. Young completed a B.S. and M.S. at the University of Delaware. Subsequently he completed a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Missouri and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Cornell University . Collectively, Dr. Young’s expertise reflects a wide breadth and depth of knowledge in the neuroscience, cardiovascular, genomics, and obesity fields; from humans to animal models, from basic molecular to development of new clinical treatments.
